City-Making is the discipline of making cities for life. It sounds logical, we know it, but 'making cities for life' implies making inclusive, safe, sustainable and resilient cities.

It implies at the same time the construction of a living city, with a proportional, compact, close and mixed built environment; of a broad, integrated and efficient mobility; of a local economy that generates opportunities, prosperity and progress; of an approach of the city as one globally unique and globally connected; and of a nodal governance, creator of common welfare, shared values and civic culture.

The City-Making brings together all the urban actors -public, private and social- who work in the coproduction of a city, around the purpose of making it friendly and for everyone.

The City-Making is, in short, the art of making human cities.
